Reptile Room Privacy Policy

Effective date: 3 November 2026

Reptile Room is a game made by Zaamworks Pte Ltd, Singapore ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you play. In short: we do not collect personal data that identifies you. The game can send anonymous usage and crash data, which you can turn off at any time.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you (see "Usage and crash data" below). The game has no accounts, no sign-in, no chat and no ads. It does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone, and it does not use advertising identifiers.

Your saved game

Your progress (your lizards, tanks, coins, diamonds and settings) is saved only on your device. We cannot see it. If your device's own backup is turned on (for example Google or iCloud backup), your phone may copy it to your own backup account, under that provider's privacy terms. Deleting the game deletes the save file from your device.

In-app purchases

Players can buy diamonds, an in-game currency, with real money. Every purchase starts with a grown-up check (a times-table question) so that children cannot buy by accident. Payments are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy terms. We never see your name, card or account details; the store only tells the game that a purchase succeeded, so the diamonds can be added. Purchases are not sent to our usage data. Parents can also use the device's own purchase controls, such as Ask to Buy or purchase approvals.

Usage and crash data

To find bugs and see which parts of the game are played, the game can send anonymous usage and crash data through Google Firebase (Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics). This includes things like which screens and mini-games are used, care actions, crash reports, device model, operating system version and game version, together with a random ID created for this installation of the game. It does not include your name, contact details, location, advertising ID or anything you type. We use it only to improve the game, never for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with anyone else.

You can turn this off at any time in Settings > Share anonymous usage & crash data. Google processes this data for us under its own terms; see firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Crash reports are kept for 90 days and usage data for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.

Rating the game

The "Rate us" button in Settings (after the grown-up check) opens the game's page in the App Store or Google Play. Anything you write there is handled by Apple or Google, not by us.

Children

Reptile Room is made for all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. There are no ads and no ways to contact other players. Purchases and links that leave the game are behind a grown-up check.

Your rights

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and similar laws elsewhere, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because we do not collect personal data, there will usually be nothing to give back, but you can always ask.

Deleting your data

To delete the usage and crash data sent from Reptile Room:

  1. In the game, open Settings and turn off Share anonymous usage & crash data. Nothing more is sent from then on.
  2. Email [email protected] with the subject "Reptile Room data deletion". Tell us the device model and roughly when you played, so we can find the anonymous data.

We delete the matching usage and crash data within 30 days and reply to confirm. Your saved game is on your device only; deleting the game removes it. We keep nothing else about you. Purchase records are held by Apple or Google, not by us.

Changes

If the game changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the date above before that version is released.
